Président Raclette comes from Franche-Comté. Raclette’s flavor is delicately fruity and creamy. The rind is dark-beige and the pate is firm with a light yellow color. The name “raclette” comes from the verb racler, “to scrape”, which is the way it is traditionally eaten.
